专利说明:
FIELD OF THE INVENTION [001] The invention relates to a lid for air fryer. [002] The invention also relates to an air fryer type apparatus that includes a lid according to the invention and a method for reducing the emission of smoke in an air fryer. [003] The invention can be used in the field of kitchen appliances. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION [004] Air fryers are known for cooking food ingredients, eg frying potatoes or roasting chicken, where heat to prepare the food ingredients is provided by hot air. To heat food ingredients for preparation and cooking, a hot air flow is generated and forced to pass through the food ingredients placed in a food basket arranged in a food preparation chamber. This type of home appliance can be used in the home environment. However, with such appliances, smoke can sometimes form during the cooking process, and it is ideal that the smoke be kept in minimal quantities to take into account hygiene, odor and safety issues. A reduction in smoke can be achieved, for example, by reducing the temperature of the circulating hot air. However, in the preparation of some foods, the process still requires a relatively high temperature, for example 160 °C. [005] Related prior art documents are: WO2010044909, US2011214574, US4622231, US2009223379. PURPOSE AND SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION [006] It is an object of the invention to propose a solution to reduce the emission of smoke in an air fryer type apparatus. The invention is defined by the independent claims. The dependent claims define advantageous embodiments. [007] The air fryer-type apparatus comprises a food preparation chamber, a food basket placed in said food preparation chamber, a system for circulating an upward flow of hot air within said food basket, a heating element placed above said food basket to generate said hot air. [008] The solution to reduce smoke emission according to the invention is to provide a lid that operates in conjunction with the food basket, wherein the lid comprises: - a first part which is permeable to air, - a second part which is impermeable to air and faces said heating element. [009] In known air fryers, much of the hot air flow directly reaches the heating element, resulting in smoke generation if the hot air flow contains a significant amount of fat particles. Smoke is caused by fat particles that burn when they come into contact with a heating element that is at a very high temperature. [010] With the present invention, due to the fact that the second part of the cover is airtight and faces the heating element, this prevents most of the hot air flow from reaching the heating element directly, resulting in in generating a reduced amount of smoke. In other words, the air-tight part blocks the part of the fat particles contained in the hot air flow, and the result of this is a smaller amount of fat particles reaching the heating element. The first part of the lid is air permeable to further allow air circulation in the food basket and the air to be heated by the heating element. [011] Detailed explanations and other aspects of the invention will be provided below. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS [012] Particular aspects of the invention will now be explained with reference to the embodiments described below in this document and considered in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which identical parts or sub-steps are designated in the same manner: [013] Figure 1 illustrates a first apparatus implementing a cover according to the invention, [014] Figure 2 illustrates a second apparatus implementing a cover according to the invention, [015] Figures 3A and 3B illustrate a food basket that operates in conjunction with a lid according to the invention, [016] Figure 4 illustrates features of a lid according to the invention, [017] Figure 5 illustrates a top view of a cap according to the invention, [018] Figure 6 illustrates a food basket that operates in conjunction with a lid according to the invention, [019] Figures 7A and 7B illustrate a food basket that operates in conjunction with a lid according to the invention, [020] Figures 8A and 8B illustrate a food basket operating in conjunction with a lid according to the invention, [021] Figure 9 illustrates the flowchart of a method according to the invention to reduce the emission of smoke in an air fryer. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [022] Figure 1 illustrates a lid 101 according to the invention for use with an apparatus 100 for food preparation. [023] The apparatus 100 comprises a food preparation chamber 102, a food basket 103 placed in said food preparation chamber 102, a system 104 for circulating an upward flow of hot air within the food basket 103, a heating element 105 placed above said food basket 103 to generate said hot air. For example, the heating element 105 is produced from a spiral electrical heating tube. For example, system 104 comprises a fan 108 placed above heating element 105. Circulation of hot air flow is illustrated by several arrows 110. Food basket 103 comprises a bottom 106 with a plurality of openings (shown by a horizontal dotted segment, eg produced from a mesh material that extends horizontally). An air guide element 107 is optionally placed under the underside 106 to help direct air upward in the food basket 103. [024] The food ingredients 109 are placed at the bottom 106 of the food basket 103 so that the hot air that is circulated inside the apparatus flows towards the food ingredients 109 for cooking purposes. For example, food ingredient 109 corresponds to French fries, chicken wings or any other food that can be cooked using hot air. Once it is cooked, the food is removed from the appliance through an opening on the side of the appliance (not shown), for example by means of a drawer mechanism. For example, if the appliance is intended for domestic use, a hot air flow having a rate of 20 liters per second can be used, and the air temperature is preferably in the range [80 °C to 250 °C] . [025] The cover 101 comprises a first part P1 which is permeable to air and a second part P2 which is impermeable to air. The second part P2 faces the heating element 105. [026] If the heating element 105 is positioned at an internal or central location in the food preparation chamber 102, as illustrated in Figure 1, the second part P2 corresponds to an inner part of the lid 101 and the first part P1 corresponds to an outer part of the cover 101. [027] If the heating element 105 is positioned at an external location in the food preparation chamber 102, as illustrated in Figure 2, the second part P2 corresponds to an outer part of the lid 101 and the first part P1 corresponds to a part inside the cover 101. [028] Figure 3A shows, by means of a three-dimensional view, an example of a lid 101 according to the invention, and Figure 3B shows, by means of a three-dimensional view, the lid 101 when operating in conjunction with the basket of food basket 103. The food basket 103 advantageously includes a handle H so that a user can withdraw the food basket 103 out of the food preparation chamber. For purposes and clarity, cable H will not always be depicted in the various drawings illustrating the invention. [029] Figure 4 illustrates a cross-section of an arrangement that includes a cover 101 according to the invention placed under a heating element 105. The vertical projection of the surface of the first part P1 defines a first surface S1. It should be noted in this example, since the first part P1 is on an outside of the cap 101, that the first surface S1 is shown as having two subparts S1a and S1b, with S1 = S1a + S1b. The vertical projection of the surface of the second part P2 defines a second surface S2. Advantageously, the ratio between the first surface S1 and the sum S = S1 + S2 of the first surface S1 and the second surface S2 is preferably in the range [5% to 50%]. This range provides an ideal balance between having a sufficient part of the hot air flow that is blocked by the second part P2 (and which limits the fat particles that flow towards the heating element) and having a sufficient part of the hot air flow which can still circulate inside the food preparation chamber through the second part P1 to ensure cooking of food ingredients. It should be noted that a ratio greater than 50% could still contribute to the reduction of smoke emission, but in a less effective way. [030] For example, if a lid has an overall surface size of S = S1 + S2 = 41.610 mm2, the surface S1 of the air permeable part P1 can be chosen so that S1 = 7.435 mm2, resulting in an S1 ratio /S = 17%. [031] Advantageously, the second surface S2 is substantially the same as the general (horizontal) surface S3 covered by the heating element 105. This further ensures that the hot air flow cannot flow directly towards the heating element. [032] Figure 5 illustrates a top view of a cap 101 according to the invention. Advantageously, as illustrated, the first part P1 is produced from a mesh structure. The mesh structure comprises a plurality of holes whose shapes are obtained from a set of circular, elliptical, hexagonal (as illustrated in Figure 5), rhomboidal and square shapes. Other variations of these formats could also be considered. Circular, elliptical and hexagonal shapes are preferred due to the fact that they provide easier cleaning of the Cover 101 for users. As an example, an enlarged Z view of a mesh structure with hexagonal shapes is illustrated. It should be noted that surface S1, as defined above, corresponds to the accumulated surface of each of the holes among the plurality of holes, excluding the flat parts between adjacent holes. [033] Figure 6 illustrates a lid 101 according to the invention operating in conjunction with a food basket 103, wherein the first part P1 alternatively comprises a plurality of openings O1a distributed over an outer part of the lid 101 and which extend essentially horizontally. In this implementation, the lid 101 has an essentially flat shape with a peripheral part that makes the lid 101 adapted to rest on an upper edge of the food basket 103. The air permeable part P1 is produced from openings whose area is larger than the holes of a mesh structure as described with reference to Figure 5, which offers some advantages in terms of ease of cleaning of the cover 101 for users. It should be noted that surface S1, as defined above, corresponds to the accumulated surface of each of the openings among the plurality of openings, excluding the flat parts between adjacent openings. [034] Figure 7A illustrates a cross-section of a lid 101 according to the invention that operates in conjunction with a food basket 103, wherein the first part P1 alternatively comprises a plurality of openings O1b distributed over an outer part of the lid 101 and which extend essentially vertically. Figure 7B illustrates a corresponding top view of the cap 101 in accordance with the invention. The second air-tight part P2 is represented by a confetti-style pattern. In this implementation, the lid 101 has, for example, a truncated dished shape, a truncated conical shape or a truncated pyramid shape, which defines a base that makes the lid 101 adapted to rest on a bottom 106 of the food basket. 103. The air permeable part P1 is produced from openings whose area is greater than the holes of a mesh structure as described with reference to Figure 5, which offers some advantages in terms of ease of cleaning of the cover 101 for the users. [035] Figure 8A illustrates an exploded view of a lid 101 according to the invention which operates in conjunction with a food basket 103. Advantageously, as illustrated, the lid 101 additionally comprises at least one supporting element SE extending outward and is adapted to operate in conjunction with at least one ST slot produced in the upper edge of the food basket 103. In this example, two SE support elements operate in conjunction with two ST slots (also illustrated in the top view of Figure 5) . The at least one support element SE operates in conjunction with the at least one slot ST to secure the lid 101 to the food basket 103 and also to act as a hinge system so that the user can gently lift the lid as illustrated. in Figure 8B. [036] Preferably, the cover 101 additionally comprises a handle element HE extending oppositely to at least one support element SE, as illustrated in Figures 5, 8A and 8B. The handle element HE is advantageous for lifting the lid 101 away from the food basket 103, for example to access food ingredients placed inside the food basket. [037] Preferably, the second part P2 is produced from a material that has an emissivity value greater than 0.5. Having a relatively high emissivity for the air-impermeable part allows the heat radiation generated by the heating element 105 to penetrate into the food basket 103 through the air-impermeable part P2 for better heating of the food ingredients. [038] Preferably, the second part P2 is produced from a material obtained from the set defined by brushed stainless steel and coated stainless steel. Brushed stainless steel is advantageous in that it has a relatively high emissivity value. Coated stainless steel is advantageous in making the lid easier for users to clean. [039] The invention also relates to an apparatus 100, as described above, which includes a cover 101, as described above. [040] Preferably, the food basket 103 is equipped with at least one spring element SP to secure an outer periphery of the lid 101. The outer periphery of the lid 101 can correspond to the outer frame delimiting the lid surface. The at least one spring element SP is illustrated in Figures 8A and 8B. The at least one spring element SP is used to lock the lid 101 in place with the food basket 103 so that the lid remains in place even when an upward flow of hot air is circulating in the food preparation chamber. The at least one spring element SP is, for example, fixed to the outside of the food basket, as illustrated, for example, by using screws or rivets, and preferably placed in the opposite direction of the at least one slot ST . [041] The invention also relates to a method for reducing the emission of smoke in an apparatus 100 comprising a food preparation chamber 102, a food basket 103 placed in said food preparation chamber 102, a system 104 for circulating an upward flow of hot air within said food basket 103, a heating element 105 placed above said food basket 103 to generate said hot air. [042] The method according to the invention comprises the steps of: - covering 901 the food basket 103 by a first part P1 which is permeable to air, and - covering 902 the food basket 103 by a second part P2 which is impermeable to air and facing said heating element 105.
